Inflation remains steady at 2.3% in February

However, United Steelworkers economist Erin Weir noted workers’ wages are falling behind the rate of inflation in Saskatchewan. “This increase in prices exceeded the increase in Saskatchewan’s average hourly wage, which edged up by 1.7 per cent over the past year. In other words, employees are not keeping pace with the province’s rising cost of living.”
